Help with ideas for Christmas gifts for a large number of people?

My husband is a doctor in a practice large enough. I think it's a good idea for him to get something for Christmas for everyone in the office, many of whom make a small little gift, too. There are about 40 passengers in the other doctors, nurses and secretary – all of whom buy something very pleasant. So what is a good inexpensive gift idea for staff another 40 in practice? I really do not want to spend more than $ 5.10 per person. I'm not trying to be cheap, but try to keep the total holiday spending under $ 1000 (and do not even have kids!) I'd like something that is practical and sweet foods is not a good choice cause they are flooded with customers and representatives all through December. Any ideas? Thank you.
