Is your son, like mine, busy, active, and can never sit still? Make a lot of toys for Christmas or get Haunukah get played with a single time (if at all) and then not used again? In today's economy who does not want to lose money on gifts that your child can not enjoy or use. This year may be more strategic and thoughtful about the gifts you buy if you think about what your child really will use and enjoy. Here, in no particular order, are my "gift selections, per employee, (hyper) active children. Some of these are appropriate for younger children, while others are more suitable for older children.

Indoor Trampoline – you know, little can put in your basement. Take the kids of sofa bed and nobody gets hurt!
Jump ropes – again, use em 'in the basement or garage. You can jump rope in a snowsuit!
Pogo Stick – just be sure to get a helmet.
Gift Certificates, space games Local interior, sports comlex or ski / sled park This is a great gift idea for grandparents, aunts and uncles (especially the "cool" ones).
Marble races – the woodens are best. Fall in the marbles and watch them go!
Water Wheel – OK I have no idea what is really called. If you come to my office, you know what I mean. Water and some form of oil color in a clear plastic container. If the tip to the water wheel, floor spills to the bottom and turns a wheel inside the tip again and the wheel spins in reverse. Let me know if you know the name this thing or if you can find an example for me to show people. I call this my "unofficial detetor ADHD. Every child or adult with ADHD can not put this thing!
Lava Lamp – Like the concept of water wheel. Moving liquid appears to be relaxing and fun for hyperactive children.
Tickets to a strong event, the stadium raucus – In our family's Monster Jam (Monster Trucks). Your children may like something different. This is an "if can not beat them join Don Em. Children will scream and shout so you may as well get them out of the house and put them in shouting that is acceptable and can be with their own peeps (other hyperactive children).
A gift certificate at home to go sledding, build a snowman, cookies, watch a movie, go shopping with you – this may be the best gift of all. Just be sure to go ahead and get the certificate later.
