While the White House and Wall Street, the state of recession is almost over here on the main street which seems to be the case. It seems like everyday I hear of more layoffs and people struggling to cope. So what can be done in this tough economy when dollars are scarce and discretionary leave are just around the corner.

Here are easy on the holiday gifts that will please yourself and delight any recipient. Moreover that are organic.

Relaxing Lavender Sugar Scrub
1 / 2 cup jojoba oil
3 / 4 cup white cane sugar
1 teaspoon Vitamin E
1 / oil 4 cup almonds
6 drops of lavender essential oil
Directions: Combine all ingredients in large bowl. Mix until mix, then pour in the desired recipient.

Rejuvenating Body Scrub
3-4 drops peppermint oil
5 tablespoons sea salt
1 / 2 teaspoon of carrier oil such as almond or grape seed.
Mix peppermint oil and sea salt together. Add the oil company and then add enough water to moisten the mixture.

Candy Cane Bath Salts
3 cups sea salt or Epsom salts
3 teaspoons sweet almond oil
9 drops of oil Peppermint essential
1 drop red food coloring (more if desired)
1 drop green food coloring

Get three bowls, each of the bowls Add 1 cup salt, 1 teaspoon almond oil, 3 teaspoons of peppermint essential oil. Add 1 drop each of the colors to two of the pins. You will end up with a bowl of red, green and white. Let sit a few hours.

To create the layers of the layer of sweet cane effect of each color, a red layer, a layer of green, white layer, again and again to fill the jar.

Decorate the jar with tape red and green candy cane, gift tags or several small sticks candy.

Bath Salts Fizzy euphoria
Sea Salt – 3 tbsp
Baking soda – 3 tablespoons
Citric acid – 1 tsp
Essential Oils – 8 drops
Jar – 4 oz
Choose 3 or 4 oils from these essential oils: Champaca absolute, sage, grapefruit, jasmine absolute, Linden absolute, Myrrh, patchouli, rose and ylang ylang. Add sea salt, baking soda, citric acid and oils to jar. Stir gently to mix ingredients. Add to the bath water.
