christmas gifts history

When it comes to the most important Christmas season, at first we could consider all the favorite shows. After all, what Christmas would be complete without at least the possibility of sitting in front of the TV – after lunch – and enjoying a repeat of ET, James Bond, Indiana Jones or – horror shock – perhaps even Mary Poppins? There Rambo too, but not until after the children have gone to bed. Or perhaps the Queen comes to mind when one thinks of most important faces of Christmas. After all, who has not tuned to the afternoon slot His Majesty, and – filled with a sense of pride – I heard that the Queen considers which are the highlights of the year now coming to an end? Actually there are few more magical Christmas gifts than that.

However, the Christmas not be complete without a little more influential, the real celebrities to the holiday season. And the big daddy of them all is little Baby Jesus. Also known as Jesus Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ Child is a central figure of Christianity and a prophet of Islam.

Those familiar with the story of the nativity is known Child Jesus who was born in Bethlehem and his mother was the Virgin Mary. Born in a manger, because of an acute shortage of accommodation – probably because it was difficult Book in advance at this point in history – after birth the baby Jesus was visited by the Magi, who are also known as the Three Kings or Kings from the East. And it was these men who had received three gifts of myrrh, gold and frankincense. Even today, the Child Jesus is associated with gifts at Christmas time and gifts in the Czech Republic takes place on Christmas Eve, is the duty of the baby Jesus to make sure that Christmas presents are under the tree.

Santa is another of the heavyweights of the season in good will. Although also known as Santa Claus, the two names actually refer to different traditions. But do not break the news to the children yet. Represented as A jolly, but solidly built, Santa is mostly seen sporting red suit with white trim – not forgetting the black leather boots – and is known worldwide as the giver Christmas gift. The history of Santa can be found in American culture, but also has its origins in early Christian times, and Dutch folklore and even pre-Christian periods. Santa on the other hand was the epitome of the Christmas season and was not initially associated with the giving of gifts. All that certainly has changed now …

Next in line is Rudolf. Also known by its full title Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer, the friendliness is a member of Santa's sleigh-pulling his entourage and an essential component of the Christmas Jolly Man gift-giving process. Known for wearing a red nose, Rudolph works with a team of eight reindeer others that all have the ability to fly (unless, of course, comes from Finland, which do not). Clearly, such a cute Christmas character is pure fiction, which could be a devastating blow to children under of a certain age, but then have to be told the truth at some point.

Frosty the Snowman is another famous person from Christmases past and present. It often appears in cards and wrapping paper on Christmas gifts, the known song that all associate with this cute little snowman was created by Steve Nelson and Walter Rollins. And his little gift to music mulled wine at the immediately after other known Christmas favorite, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Frosty has also appeared in an animated short film and there was even a special Frosty the Snowman television, which was produced in 1969.

And for those who aspire to sing the song of Frosty, tells a story of a happy snowman, from a corn cob, a button and coal. Frosty was a man who, while snow was able to dance and play with children. But ultimately, he knew his fate and his destiny was to be melted by the snow. However, before leaving, he said one day he will return. Not much chance of that this year, however, without a decent amount of snow.
